NEW STUDENT APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS – Admissions are now OPEN!
To be considered for the first round of acceptances, new student applications are due no later than February 24th, 2024 along with your $200 application fee.
Application Checklist:
1. Submit Standardized Test Scores (Excluding First Grade and Kinder applicants)
2. Submit Report Cards (Excluding First Grade and Kinder applicants)
3. Submit Immunization Records
4. Submit Application
5. Download Academic Character Reference and give to student’s current teacher (Excluding Kindergarten applicants.)
6. Pay Application Fee of $200
Additionally, please be prepared to upload Sacramental Certificates and IEP/504 from public school, if applicable.
Academic Character Reference:
You will also need to download an Academic Character Reference. This reference will be given by you to your current teacher or school and is required to complete the application process.This is not a requirement for Kindergarten admittance or for current CVUSD students.
Application Fee:
Once submitted, your application fee of $200 is due. Payment can be made by check, cash or credit card at our school office or by calling Sally Frawley at 818-889-9483 during school hours.
Testing & Screening:
Your application is not considered complete until the application fee is paid and all necessary documents are uploaded. Upon completion, applicants can sign-up for a testing date and time by contacting the school office.
Acceptances:
First round of acceptances are sent March 8th, 2024 for 1st – 8th grades, and March 15th, 2024 for Kindergarten. Acceptances are sent only for applications that are fully completed by February 24, 2024. Incomplete applications will be moved to the second round of acceptances to go out April 12th, 2024.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
The following criteria serve as guidelines for the acceptance of new students to St. Jude the Apostle School, though the circumstances of every child will be considered on an individual basis:
First consideration will be the academic readiness of the child. Another consideration will be given to siblings of students already attending St. Jude the Apostle School and students transferring in from other Catholic schools. St. Jude the Apostle School does not discriminate against any applicant or pupil in admissions, educational programs or activities.
