Drama is available for students who love to perform. St Jude’s Drama provides students the chance to participate in school performances in the auditorium. The after school Performing Arts elective takes place on Thursdays from 3 to 4:30 on the stage in the church hall.  The class is broken down into 2 separate semesters:

FALL semester runs from September to November and focuses on acting techniques, scene study, improvisation, creating characters, pantomime, vocal skills and much more.  The class culminates in an invited showcase (usually) the week before Thanksgiving.  We are open to all levels of experience, and those who participate in the fall influence the show selection for the spring.

SPRING semester runs from February until May culminating in a full scale production on a Friday evening in May.  Traditionally, the shows are musicals, but any experience level is welcome and dancing and singing in the show are optional per individual.  Parents who wish to defray tuition costs can do so by helping with the production in many ways (i.e. creating costumes, sets, helping to run rehearsals or backstage during the show and many other responsibilities).
