Admissions Process

The initial admission season begins with the school’s Annual Open House held each January on the Sunday during Catholic Schools Week.  Tours are given and current admission instructions are available.  If you cannot attend Open House, please contact the school office at (818) 889-9483 and Marty Freel, Principal, is glad to schedule an individual tour.  We are always glad to welcome new students to join our school community during the school year as well.  We love to show off our campus.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

The following criteria serve as guidelines for the acceptance of new students to St. Jude the Apostle School, though the circumstances of every child will be considered on an individual basis:

First consideration will be the academic readiness of the child. Another consideration will be given to siblings of students already attending St. Jude the Apostle School and students transferring in from other Catholic schools. St. Jude the Apostle School does not discriminate against any applicant or pupil in admissions, educational programs or activities.

ADMISSION SCREENING

Kindergarten candidates will be scheduled for testing and a classroom visit along with other potential applicants during our spring session. Student candidates for grades 1 through 8 will be scheduled for testing as applications are processed.
