The Claddagh School of Irish Dance is a premiere Irish dance school that first opened in 1985 under the direction of Maire O’Connell. Through the years, Claddagh’s dancers have won eight World Championship titles in solo and team dancing. There are ten Southern California locations including Westlake Village, right here at St. Jude’s! The St. Jude’s class is under the direction of RaChelle Burke.

RaChelle has danced as long as she has walked!  In addition to being a championship Irish dancer, RaChelle is a champion Scottish dancer, and has performed and competed in jazz, hip-hop and ballet. RaChelle, an engineering graduate from Loyola Marymount University (with honors), successfully passed her TCRG license in 2003 and teaches classes in Simi Valley and San Luis Obispo, as well as Westlake Village. She was successful in her ADCRG examination in February 2012.

Irish dancing with the Claddagh School teaches teamwork and leadership, as well as builds physical and mental strength. Not to mention lifelong friendships! Come check out the class in Parish Hall on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30!
